Test Materials

Test Process

Following ISO 8871-5, the test mounts the chosen needle to a load cell while securing the sample on the base. The needle advances at a controlled speed until puncturing the material. The maximum force required for puncture is recorded via a precise sensor and displayed on a user-friendly screen. Test speeds and needle types can be adjusted to meet different testing demands.

Test Result Interpretation

The recorded puncture force reflects material resistance. A higher force indicates better puncture resistance, important for packaging integrity and user safety. Results are compared against ISO 8871-5 standards to confirm compliance. Consistent puncture forces ensure reliable product quality and safety in practical use.
